River Rafting In Kashmir

The river Lidder in Pahalgam stretches from Langabal to Ganeshpora and covers 12kms approx. the stretch is divided into 3 lengths- the Lidder Joy Ride- is a 2.5kms that is between Varganpal and Yaneer Bridge and has rapids ranging up to III and is ideal for beginners. The other one is the Lider Long Ride of 5kms which is between Varganpal and Ganeshpora and has rapids ranging up to grade III. This one is also ideal for beginners. The last one is the Lider Xtra long ride of 12kms that is undertaken from Langabal to Ganeshpora and has rapids ranging up to grade IV and is perfect for experts. The river Lidder offers a fantastic number of turns with challenging highs and lows, so the rafters are strictly advised to be equipped with the proper gear.

River Rafting Stretches on Sindh river (Sonamarg)
Sindh river in Sonamarg is another perfect place for rafting. This is one of the best places for white water rafting and is divided into 3 sections- the Sindh Joy Ride of 3.5kms has rapids ranging up to II and is perfect for beginners. The second one is the Sindh Long Ride of 7kms approx. and has rapids ranging up to II which is ideal for beginners. The last one is the Sind Extra Long Ride whichis 24kms long and has rapids ranging from II to IV and is perfect for experts. The Sindh river hasharsh terrains and is coupled with rapid tuns that create a thrill for the rafters. Sindh river is considered to be a dangerous river due to its fast flow and white water characteristics, so it is advised to carry all the essential equipment.
