1. Rogan Josh

7. Goshtaba

8. Dum Olav

Treat your taste buds with this famous dish of Kashmir, Dum Olav or Dum Aloo. The baby potatoes are cooked in yoghurt, ginger paste, fennel and hot spices, in a smooth red gravy.  Enjoy this very cuisine with roti or naan bread. Another version of this Dum Olav is with a yoghurt gravy but the potatoes are not the baby potatoes that are used in Dum Olav but hearty big ones just like their connoisseurs.

9. Butter Tea

10. Khambir

If you are looking for some unique yet scrumptious delicacy then go for Khambir. Khambir is a pan shaped local bread mainly served with butter tea. 11. Shab Deg

A meat delicacy Shab Deg is cooked overnight. Shab means night and Deg is a large cooking vessel. The process of making Shab Deg involves- Rooster is cooked with turnips and spices overnight to bring the rich flavours to the dish, after this the vessel is sealed with dough. The process involves a slow cooking method to keep the flavours and taste intact. Enjoy Shab Deg with rice, naan or Sheermal which are great combinations.

12. Kashmiri Rajma

Enjoy Kashmiri Rajma with Tawa Paratha, Laccha parantha or with steamed rice. Perfect food for lunch or dinner, this dish is one of the popular dishes in Kashmir. The rajma is soaked in water overnight. In the morning just cook in fresh water for 15 minutes in a pressure cooker. After that prepare, this dish with spices like bay leaf, asafoetida, cumin seeds dry ginger powder, green chillies and curd and garnish it with coriander leaves.
